Property Transfers in the St. Vrain Sanitation District

If you are buying or selling a property within the St. Vrain Sanitation District, please ensure your title company completes a Property Transfer Form before closing. This form provides SVSD with:

  • Buyer’s contact information
  • Seller’s forwarding address
  • Closing date

Once submitted, SVSD will email the title company the seller’s account balance through the end of the quarter. This allows the title company to determine what amount to collect or refund at closing.

After closing, the warranty deed must be sent to SVSD—either by the title company or directly by you. Once received:

  • The seller’s account will be closed
  • The buyer’s account will be opened

Buyers will receive a welcome email with details about SVSD services and account access.

Note: This process is the responsibility of the title company. Buyers and sellers typically do not need to take any additional action.

For Renters:
SVSD does not place sewer accounts in tenants’ names. Services remain under the homeowner's name, and invoices are mailed only to the property owner or their property manager.
